If you have ugly, dark, silver mercury fillings, then consider composite or porcelain fillings, which use state-of-the-art tooth-colored resin to blend the restoration to your natural-colored teeth.
Tooth-colored fillings and porcelain restorations do not contain mercury or metal. These restorations are actually bonded to your teeth. This allows the fillings to adhere to and strengthen your remaining tooth structure. This reduces the possibility of future fractures and other problems that may result from the natural chewing process. Many tooth colored restorations are exceptionally strong, restoring nearly 100 per cent of the natural tooth strength. This compared to silver fillings can reduce tooth strength to 30%. Porcelain and tooth colored fillings are so natural and attractive that they are often mistaken for natural teeth during subsequent dental exams.
