General Dentistry in Greensboro, NC
Utilizing the latest advancements in dental technology, our mission is to provide our patients with the highest quality of professional service.
Comprehensive Exam
Your initial exams by the doctors will include diagnostic x-rays, a periodontal screening; soft tissue oral cancer exam and a complete cavity check tooth by tooth.
Dental Hygiene
During your initial visit, the Hygienist gathers diagnostic information to complement the periodontal evaluation. The Hygienist will remove soft and hard deposits from the teeth, discuss good oral hygiene techniques and provide other preventative dental care.
Micro Air Abrasion
Micro Air Abrasion provides patients with drill-free, needle-free and pain-free dentistry. It is a blast of air containing fine particles of aluminum oxide, a common ingredient in toothpaste. It sandblasts the decay away.
Intra-Oral Cameras
Our office uses this state-of-the-art technology to clearly document the results of your dental treatment. Your electronic chart includes actual photographs of your teeth and allows us to visually follow the condition of your mouth to help diagnose disease early and determine treatments before problems develop.
Digital X-Rays
Digital dental x-rays are safe and faster than traditional x-rays. Digital x-rays reduce your x-ray radiation by 90 percent. This new technology is also very efficient and accurate when making a diagnosis.
Sedation Dentistry
While our office does not use general anesthesia to put patients to sleep, we do prescribe a medication to relax and calm patients. Our form of sedation dentistry involves the use of prescription medication the evening prior to the dental appointment and also the morning of. This provides the patient with a good nights sleep and allows patients to be more relaxed and calm, sometimes even falling asleep during their procedure.
As with any medication, not all patients are able to take it and it does work differently for each patient. Prior to prescribing the medication, we would go over your medical history and explain possible side effects and contraindications. We would also explain the use of the medicine and what steps you would need to take prior to your appointment.
If you have a high level of dental anxiety and dread dental appointments then this may be a great option for you!
